Level 3 Award in Education and Training AND the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

Are there just not enough hours in the day?  If you've reached the point where you have no time or motivation for new clients, then it may be time to consider a move into teaching and assessing so you can share your experience and knowledge and inspire the next generation of instructors.

These two courses will give you the knowledge and skills to deliver training and to assess vocational competence in an environment other than the workplace (for example, a workshop, classroom or other training environments).

Course format:

Zoom sessions from 9 am to 3.30 pm each day

  • Unit 1: Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training.  The assessment for Unit 1 is a worksheet which we will discuss during the course. This unit is mandatory.
  • Unit 2: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training.
  • Unit 3: Facilitating learning and development in individuals.
  • Unit 4: Facilitating learning and development in groups.
  • NOTE: You need to complete only one of units 2, 3 or 4 for the assessment; all are assessed by worksheet, microteaching session, evaluation, a teaching log, and a lesson plan.
  • Unit 5/6: Understanding the principles and practices of assessment. The assessment for either unit is a worksheet, and you choose to complete unit 5 or unit 6. However, I strongly recommend you complete unit 6 as this is part of the assessor award, which means you do not have to do it twice.

Dates

Fully taught course including microteaching assessment:

NOTE:  You need access to two learners to assess for the Assessor element of this course and a line manager or colleague who can act as a witness.
