What is quality assurance?

It ensures high standards are set and maintained so that the teaching and assessing staff are consistent and fair, and that learners receive a standardised approach throughout their learning journey.

Who am I?
Hi, I am Sarah Bolitho and I have been in the fitness field for over 30 years and in that time I have worked in most of the disciplines and roles you can think of.
My mission is to raise standards in training and education, starting with quality assurance processes as these underpin all training and assessment.
Why work with me?
I have been in the training and education field for over 25 years, mostly fitness but other areas as well.
I am qualified in both Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices, and in External Quality Assurance and I have over ten years experience in both roles.
What does mentoring involve?
Sometimes a course just isn't enough.
What you learn is important and give you an overview of the role, but it is when you start to work as an IQA that you will have questions and want guidance.
And that is what you get - six months of support and guidance from me (within agreed limits!) to get you started and build your confidence.
Ongoing support
I know that even with mentoring for a few months, you will still have questions or come across issues in the future, and will want advice or support.
Once you have completed the course, you will be invited to join a private Facebook group where I, and other IQAs, will be on hand for confidential support and advice when you need it.
